I. THE PLEDGE

Your secrets are as safe with us as buried treasure on a deserted isle. The School of Piracy ("We", "Us", or "The Ship") respects the privacy of every sailor who boards our vessel. This Code explains what information we gather, how we stow it, and who we might share it with.

II. WHAT WE GATHER FOR THE LOG (Information Collection)

We collect different types of loot to keep the ship sailing smooth:

Voluntary Signals (Personal Information): If ye sign up for our newsletter, leave a comment, or send us a message via raven (email), we collect the details ye provide, such as your name and email address.

Navigational Data (Usage Data): When ye sail our waters, our lookouts automatically record details about your vessel, including your IP address, browser type, time spent on deck, and which pages ye visited.

Crumbs & Hardtack (Cookies): We use digital cookies to remember your preferences and track your journey across the site. Ye may choose to sweep these crumbs away in your browser settings, though some parts of the ship may not function as well without them.

III. HOW WE USE THE BOOTY (Use of Information)

We do not hoard this data for naught. We use it to:

Deliver the content, videos, and music ye came for.

Send ye updates, newsletters, and tales from the high seas (only if ye subscribed).

Improve the hull of our ship (website maintenance and analytics).

Defend against mutineers and bots.

IV. FOREIGN POWERS & ALLIES (Third-Party Services)

We do not sell your secrets to the Royal Navy. However, we do work with trusted allies:

YouTube (Google): Our visual logs are hosted on YouTube. By watching them, ye are also subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

Analytics: We may use scouts (like Google Analytics) to see where our crew is coming from.

Newsletter Services: If ye join our mailing list, your email is stored with our courier service solely for the purpose of sending ye dispatches.

V. THE IRON CHEST (Security)

We use standard fortifications (encryption and secure servers) to guard your data against thieves and spies. However, remember that no ship on the digital ocean is unsinkable. We do our best, but we cannot guarantee absolute security against the kraken.

VI. ABANDONING SHIP (Your Rights)

Ye have rights over your own soul and data:

Opt-Out: Ye may unsubscribe from our dispatches at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in our emails.

Access & Deletion: Ye may signal the Captain to request a copy of your data or to have your entry scrubbed from the logbooks.

VII. POWDER MONKEYS (Children's Privacy)

Our ship is not a nursery. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we discover a stowaway under this age has provided us with data, we will toss it overboard immediately.

VIII. CONTACT THE CAPTAIN

If ye have questions about this Code or how we handle your secrets, send a dispatch to: [here@schoolofpiracy.xyz]
